Terms and Conditions

In these terms and conditions the following meanings will apply:

 

The Company means Hindu & Buddhist Shop

 

Customer means the person or company whose details are entered on any order or enquiry form on this website.

 

Browser means any person accessing and using this website by means of software products enabling Internet connection.

 

The Website means the website at http://www.hindu-buddhist-shop.com

 

The website is owned and operated by The Company and all contents and designs are copyright of The Company and its suppliers or agents. Browsers using the site are permitted limited rights to view and print the contents for personal use only and are prohibited from copying or reproducing or reusing any of the contents or designs in any medium for any other purpose, in particular but not exclusively for any commercial gain.

 

 

All orders must be placed online via this website.

When you place an order for a product you are offering to buy it for the price stated, subject to these Terms and Conditions. Only order goods that you are sure want. Once an order is placed, you have made a contract with us to purchase such goods at the price quoted at time of ordering.


When you place your order you will be sent an email to confirm that we have received it. These email confirmations are produced automatically so that you have confirmation of your order details. The fact that you receive an automatic confirmation does not necessarily mean that we will be able to fulfil that order. Please see the section on product availability.  Once we have confirmed your order is correct, payment has been received and the item is available we will send you a further email confirming we are processing your order.


We may cancel any order if it is reasonable to do so and may change or discontinue the availability of products at any time at its sole discretion. If an order is cancelled, you will be notified via email and any payment made for the product(s) will be refunded in full. This does not affect your Statutory Rights.

All new orders are deemed separate and each is treated individually.

Price

All prices quoted on our site are in GBP, however you may order and pay in your local currency. Exchange rates will be calculated automatically at time of order.

We try to ensure that the prices on our site are accurate but errors may occur. If we discover an error in pricing of the product(s) in your order we will inform you as soon as possible using the email address that you have supplied us. You will have the option to re-confirm your order at the correct price or cancel it. If we are unable to reach you the order will be cancelled. If an order is cancelled, any payment made for the product(s) will be refunded in full.

You will be notified of the delivery costs automatically before you make your payment.

Payment

Payment must be made at point/time of ordering.

All payments are to be made via online payment methods or using gift voucher(s).

We accept all major credit and debit cards and payments via paypal, googlecheckout and other processors such as Moneybookers. We will also accept payment by direct electronic bank transfer.



Product Availability

We always try to keep our stock figures as up to date as possible but cannot guarantee that all products are always available. If we cannot supply a product that you have ordered you will notified via email and we will refund or re-credit your account with the amount debited by us.

Delivery

We manage our deliveries utilising  various delivery companies and couriers . The choice of courier/service is at our discretion with the decision based on the weight of the item(s) and destination. Should you wish to elect a preferred method then please contact us and we will provide you with the additional cost where applicable.

We reserve the right to deliver in multiple consignments; however this will be at no extra cost.

Many of our items are sent via services requiring a signature on receipt. In the event that a package is refused or unclaimed and returned to us there are two options. The package can be despatched again on payment of the additional shipping cost or a refund will be made, minus any costs to us for the original shipping and return.

Delivery times given are for guidance only and are not guaranteed. We cannot be held responsible for courier/postal delays. However, should your order not arrive within the time expected following our notification of despatch, please contact us and we will endeavour to locate your shipment.

Orders are processed immediately upon receipt at our office.It is our policy to deliver within 10 working days whenever possible. Many orders are received before this time.But we kindly ask our customers to allow up to 28 days as some of our items are specially made by lama-artisans and craftsmen, and  for delivery delays due to circumstance beyond our control such as delays by third party postal. Responsibility is not accepted for missing/undelivered items.  We therefore recommend customers chose courier/insured service for expensive items.

If you require your order before a certain date, please let us know as soon as you have placed your order. You can do this at time of placing order at checkout.


Any person purchasing our products where the item is sourced/distributed from outside of the territory of order delivery address is the importer to that destination and is responsible for all taxes and/ or special duty payments on all of the products ordered.

We are not responsible for delays in the delivery or customs.

Returns

We take every care to ensure all of our products reach you in perfect condition. However, if you are not satisfied due to the product being damaged, faulty or not the item ordered then please contact us and inform us of your intent to return the product. Note: We must be notified of items must be returned within 24 hours of receipt. The item must be received by us within 14 days.

Please email us. You will need to provide product details, a description of the fault and your preference for a refund or replacement. We will then provide you with the return address.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the item is suitably packaged and returned. You are responsible for the item until it is received. Note: we do not cover the cost of you returning products.

Once we have received and inspected the item we will contact you to confirm our findings and arrange a refund or order a replacement where applicable.

We aim to keep this procedure as straightforward as possible. We will attend to all returns as soon as is practically feasible and do our utmost to make the process as stress-free as we can for you.

Refunds

All refunds will be processed via the same method as used for the purchase transaction.

Refunds will only be made subject to our terms and conditions.

General

We may change or withdraw any part of our website, or may refuse you access to the web site at any time if we consider it necessary.

We may also terminate this Agreement and immediately remove, cancel or suspend access to and use of our site upon breach of any part of these Terms whatsoever.

Termination shall be without prejudice to our other rights.

If we do not enforce any provision of this agreement such will not be considered a continuing waiver.

In the event that any part of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, such part will at our option be construed as far as possible to reflect the parties' intentions and the remainder of the provisions will remain in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and us and may only be amended in writing. They apply to the exclusion of all other terms or conditions of contract proposed.

Use of our site and these terms are subject to the laws of England and the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Our Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time. You should regularly check the terms and conditions and the privacy policy for any updates and/or amendments.

Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We do not disclose customer information to third parties.


The  Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use our Shop products and services.
When you use  Checkout, or place an order via fax/telephone/email we may ask for your personal information so that we can provide you with the goods ordered. The information we may require includes your name, address, delivery address if different credit or debit card number, card expiry date, card verification number (CVN), phone number and email address. This information allows us to process payments and protect users from fraud. In some cases, we may also ask you to send us additional information or to answer additional questions to help verify your information. The information we collect is stored solely for providing you with services via the this Shop.
Information obtained from third parties - In order to protect you from fraud or other misconduct, we may obtain information about you from third parties to verify the information that you provide. For example, we may use card authorisation and fraud screening services to verify that your credit or debit card information and address match the information that you provided to us.
User communications - When you send email or other communication to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.

In some cases, we may process personal information on behalf of and according to the instructions of a third-party, Card Merchant Processors.

If you are using a credit card issued by the merchant you are making a purchase from (a “private label credit card”), that merchant will receive your entire credit card number in association with your purchase.
